My delivery van: Okechukwu's only way to earn a living
Okechukwu's my delivery van is Okechukwu's only source of income and needs a gearbox replacement costing $200.

I make my living with my delivery van. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $200 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $115
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Towing and inspection: $30
Thanks for reading all this.

Small businesses are the heart of Lagos. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Thanks for sharing this, Okechukwu. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Lagos.
Thinking of you. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Lagos.
Best of luck. Shared this with my family. Blessings!
Praying for you. Hope you make a strong comeback. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
