My delivery van: Hendrik's only way to earn a living
Hendrik drives for a living in Gqeberha, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 3 weeks.

I make my living with my delivery van. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $300 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $130
• Labor charges: $55
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $80
• Towing and inspection: $35
Glad we found this place.

is gearbox replacement (parts) the biggest cost or is there more coming?
Sure. The biggest one is gearbox replacement (parts), $130. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Appreciate you taking the time.
Wishing you the best, Hendrik. Hope this works out for you. I'll check back for the next update.
