Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Renata in Oaxaca de Juárez
Help Renata get a stair-climbing aid so She can join the school sports day.
🇲🇽 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca, Mexico3,226 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Oaxaca de Juárez Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,150.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $3,000
• Fitting and training sessions: $90
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

any update on how things are going in Oaxaca de Juárez?
I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Hope things get better soon, Renata. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
