Mobility fund: pair of hearing aids for Mukesh in Nashik
Mukesh needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $400.
🇮🇳 Maharashtra, India427 views
Mukesh lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Nashik Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Mukesh could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• pair of hearing aids: $345
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
