I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at London University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $5,000. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the London University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $5,000 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $350 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,950 • Final term tuition: $2,700 If you're reading this, thank you. - Miles

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Miles

Textbooks and materials is $350 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.
