Michael needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery
A neighborhood bakery in Eugene needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
Anywhere in the world1,734 views
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Eugene. In August, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $640
• Replacing a commercial oven: $850
• Shop repairs and licensing: $260
I hope life is good to you.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Michael
Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar is $640 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
Wishing you peace. Hope you get there. Greetings from Gothenburg
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Eugene
Thank you. If you're in Eugene I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Good question.
Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Eugene.
Best of luck. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. It's not much but it's yours
