Mia needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Manchester
Without my tuk-tuk Mia can't work; a $650 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $650. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $650 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $55
• Labor charges: $380
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $215
Thank you for reading my story.
Updates from Mia
Good news. Because of your gifts ($235 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
