Mercy's final semester of a master's in public health in Kasarani
Mercy is two terms away from finishing a master's in public health but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $600.

Mercy is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Kasarani Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $600.
The registrar has said Mercy can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Mercy has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Mercy would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Mercy isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $600 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $20
• Final term tuition: $510
• Textbooks and materials: $70
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
