Maryam's final semester of an agriculture degree in Aswan
Maryam has worked and saved for three years to study an agriculture degree; a $500 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at Aswan State College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $500 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $20
• Final term tuition: $220
• Outstanding tuition balance: $260
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Best of luck, Maryam. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in London but we're thinking of you. Greetings from London.
Keep going, Maryam. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Nashik
Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Yonkers this morning. Take care
