Marcos's final semester of a teaching qualification in Girona

Marcos is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Girona Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,100. The registrar has said Marcos can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Marcos has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Marcos would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Marcos isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $2,100 goes: • Final term tuition: $1,150 • Outstanding tuition balance: $830 • Textbooks and materials: $120 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Sofía
