Madurai landslide relief - Marketplace village
The landslide damaged 90 homes in Marketplace village. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The landslide hit Marketplace village on 16 February. My home was one of 90 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $750 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $250
• Clean water and purification supplies: $95
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $80
• Food parcels for displaced families: $125
• Tools and labor for repairs: $200
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Aurangabad.
Thinking of you and your family, Bhavna. More neighborhoods should do this. I hope May is when things finally get easier.
Best of luck. Hope this works out for you. Sent it to 22 people at work. All the best.
