Luna's a ruptured cruciate ligament: help with the vet bill

Luna is my dog of eleven years. On 21 August we rushed to Chennai Animal Hospital with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $450. They have stabilized Luna, but the treatment can't wait beyond October. Luna is more than a pet - Luna is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $40 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Chennai Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
