Lucky is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Lagos Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has said Lucky can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lucky has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lucky would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Lucky isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $500 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $20
• Textbooks and materials: $60
• Outstanding tuition balance: $420
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lucky!
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. exam and lab fees comes first ($20) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
Sending strength. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
Hope things get better soon. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Lagos.
Keep going. Study hard! I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Keep going, Bello. Study hard! Don't give up. God bless
Best of luck, Bello. Shared this with my family. After 27 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
