Los Angeles wildfire relief - the Old Town neighborhood
Neighbors in the Old Town neighborhood are rebuilding after the wildfire; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The wildfire hit the Old Town neighborhood on 23 May. My home was one of 27 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,400
• Clean water and purification supplies: $400
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,900
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

sending good thoughts, Rafael. More neighborhoods should do this. Love from Sacramento.
Praying for you, Rafael. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Novosibirsk.
Praying for you, Rafael. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
Stay strong. Hope you get there. We're a small family in San Sebastián but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Los Angeles.
