Los Angeles tornado relief - the Marketplace neighborhood
The tornado damaged 20 homes in the Marketplace neighborhood. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The tornado hit the Marketplace neighborhood on 3 March. My home was one of 20 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,500
• Clean water and purification supplies: $600
• Food parcels for displaced families: $850
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hang in there, Lucas. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Quezon City.
Sending good thoughts, Lucas. More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless
