Lia needs three industrial sewing machines to reopen a tailoring shop
Lia lost three industrial sewing machines to the demolition of the market and needs $500 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a tailoring shop in Depok. In October, the demolition of the market took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $310
• Shop repairs and licensing: $65
• Working capital for the first month: $125
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you and your family. Looking forward to the next update. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
Hope things get better soon, Lia. Small businesses are the heart of Depok. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor in Mbarara donated after I showed her your page. Love from Mbarara.
How is Lia doing now?
Shared it with a few friends. Thinking of Depok.
Good luck, Lia. This could happen to any of us.
Good luck, Lia. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 14 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
