Let's build a youth football pitch together in Tel Aviv
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Maple health centre yard that will serve 275 neighbors.
🇮🇱 Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Israel2,641 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 275 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $420
• Materials: $1,710
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thanks for sharing this, Uri. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. All the best.
best of luck, Uri. Looking forward to the next update. Greetings from Columbus
You're not alone, Uri. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Tel Aviv!
Sending strength. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Dar es Salaam.
You're not alone, Uri. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
