Let's build a sensory garden for children with autism together in Québec
Volunteers in Québec are raising $4,000 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Harmony vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $680, and the remaining cost is $4,000.
It will serve about 205 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,000 goes:
• Materials: $3,350
• Permits and inspections: $200
• Safety equipment and signage: $250
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
