Let's build a free library and reading room together in Jakarta Selatan

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $100. It will serve about 374 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $100 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 • Permits and inspections: $15 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
