Let's build a covered market stall space together in Katowice
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $1,400 for materials.
🇵🇱 Silesia, Poland2,242 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,400.
It will serve about 393 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Materials: $1,150
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $160
Thank you so much.

stay strong, Robert. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We're a small family in Madrid but we're thinking of you.
Sending love, Robert. Looking forward to the next update.
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Springfield.
Stay strong. Great idea, hope you get there. Love from Bakersfield.
Thinking of you, Robert. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Put this on a community board in Lansing this morning. Take care.
