Let's build a covered market stall space together in Dayton
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Unity vacant lot that will serve 169 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $910, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 169 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Materials: $2,350
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $160
• Tools hire and delivery: $385
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

wishing you the best, Jameson. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Hang in there, Jameson. Hope this works out for you. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Dayton.
Hope it all works out, Jameson. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We're a small family in Lagos but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Lagos.
Sending love. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Caruaru this morning.
