Legal fees for Siddharth's residency renewal in Nagpur
Siddharth needs $550 for filing fees and representation in a residency renewal before the October deadline.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India1,297 views
I'm facing a residency renewal. My hearing is scheduled for October, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $550. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $550 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $125
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $35
• Attorney retainer: $390
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about filing and biometrics fees, advice is welcome too. Thanks for looking so closely.
So sorry you're going through this, Siddharth. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Dresden.
Shared this with my family. Sent it to 22 people at work. Greetings from Madina.
Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. After 26 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything
