Legal fees for Sanjay's work-permit appeal in Salem
Help Sanjay cover the fees of a work-permit appeal so He can stay with his family.

I'm facing a work-permit appeal. My hearing is scheduled for February, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $350. I have been told by three legal-aid offices that their waiting list is longer than my deadline.
I have all of my paperwork ready, and my caseworker at the Salem Community Legal Centre has confirmed that my case is valid.
If I miss the deadline I could lose my right to stay with my family and my job. My children were born here and this is the only home they know.
I'll share any non-sensitive updates as the case moves along.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $350 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $165
• Filing and biometrics fees: $135
• Certified translations and document copies: $25
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $25
Thank you for reading my story.

Updates from Sanjay
Quick update: $235 raised so far (67%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($165 in total) I made the first payment toward filing and biometrics fees. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. God bless.
