Legal fees for Divya's asylum application in Mysuru
Help Divya cover the fees of an asylum application so She can stay with her family.
🇮🇳 Mysuru, Karnataka, India823 views
Divya is facing an asylum application. The hearing is scheduled for December, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $150. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Divya has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Divya could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $150 goes:
• Filing and biometrics fees: $100
• Certified translations and document copies: $20
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $30
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending strength. Shared this with my family. Love from Salé.
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless
