Legal fees for Anand's asylum application in Nagpur
Anand needs $500 for filing fees and representation in an asylum application before the June deadline.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India819 views
Anand is facing an asylum application. The hearing is scheduled for June, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $500. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Anand has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Nagpur Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Anand could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $500 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $390
• Filing and biometrics fees: $45
• Certified translations and document copies: $25
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $40
Every share and every dollar helps.

You're not alone, Tanvi. Gave what I could, wish it was more
reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care!
wishing you peace, Tanvi. Hope you get there.
Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Good luck. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Bordeaux donated after I showed her your page
