Lars needs a full set of tools to reopen a bicycle repair shop
Lars has run a bicycle repair shop for nine years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $3,300 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Rotterdam. In May, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $270
• Replacing a full set of tools: $2,400
• Initial stock: spare parts: $630
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Take care, Lars. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Rotterdam
Sending love, Lars. Hope you get there. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 12 people at work.
hang in there, Lars. This could happen to any of us. Blessings.
