Kunle served fourteen years in the army; $800 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

Halima served fourteen years in the army and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. She has been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place. The plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote comes to $800. Halima is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces. I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden. Where the $800 goes: • Training provider fees: $420 • Housing deposit and first month: $250 • Transport to appointments: $75 • Essential household items: $55 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Updates from Kunle

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($461 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Kunle

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 44% funded and I made the first payment toward training provider fees.
