A first-generation student, Kumar needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a diploma in hospitality management.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at Mumbai Polytechnic, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $210
• Final term tuition: $140
• Exam and lab fees: $15
• Textbooks and materials: $35
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Kumar.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. outstanding tuition balance comes first ($210) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
Good luck with the exams, you've got this. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Pune.
education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Greetings from Varanasi
