Kinsley was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in June. The oncology team at the San Diego Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Kinsley is 56, worked as a taxi driver until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the San Diego Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,150 goes: • Transport to the San Diego Oncology Institute: $760 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,650 • Scans and lab work: $740 I hope life is good to you.
