The heating account is 3 months behind. Heitor received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $250 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in June. Heitor called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available. The household includes two young children, and going through the rainy season without heating isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. Heitor is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $250 goes: • Gas arrears: $115 • Reconnection and late fees: $60 • Down payment on a payment plan: $75 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Jéssica

  • Sending good thoughts, Jéssica. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 23 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything

    • Sending love, Jéssica. Looking forward to the next update. God bless.
