Keep the gas on at Rowan's home in San Diego

Rowan is behind on gas bills after losing my job in October and needs $650 to avoid a shut-off.

The gas account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless I pay $650. I have never been late before losing my job in October. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $160 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Rowan's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $650 goes: • Electricity arrears: $370 • Reconnection and late fees: $180 • Down payment on a payment plan: $100 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Rowan

Sending strength, Rowan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of San Diego.

    • Keep going, Rowan. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Mumbai this morning. Thinking of San Diego.

      • Sending strength. Hope you get there. Sent it to 3 people at work. All the best
