A termination letter arrived last week. Misaki needs $3,600 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Fukuoka.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 3 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

• Rent arrears (3 months): $2,300
• Late fees and court costs: $320
• Utilities in arrears: $175
• First month of rent as a buffer: $805

Update from Fukuoka: I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts. We're at 41% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Quick update: $1,018 raised so far (28%). the plan for first month of rent as a buffer is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
