Keep a roof over Anjana's head in Saket
The closure of the factory left Anjana short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.
🇮🇳 India1,148 views
When the textile factory closed in March, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $450.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by May, we must leave.
I've 3 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $400
• Utilities in arrears: $35
• Late fees and court costs: $15
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

- bill type
