Kavita's final semester of a nursing degree in Mangaluru
Kavita has worked and saved for five years to study a nursing degree; a $400 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at Mangaluru University, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $140
• Final term tuition: $180
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $40

Thanks for sharing this, Kavita. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Kavita. Study hard! This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
