Jyoti's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Help Jyoti begin Grade 9 with a laptop, uniform and books.
🇮🇳 India260 views
I earned a place in Grade 9 at Bengaluru International School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love coding and want to become a marine biologist. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $120
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
• School uniform and shoes: $15
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Thinking of you and your family, Jyoti. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Put this on a community board in Pretoria this morning. Love from Pretoria.
