Justice shouldn't depend on a bank balance: Jakob's asylum application
Help Jakob cover the fees of an asylum application so He can stay with his family.
🇩🇪 Germany412 views
Jakob is facing an asylum application. The hearing is scheduled for June, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $3,200. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Jakob has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Nuremberg Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Jakob could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
The money goes to the immigration attorney's trust account and the court filing office. I'll upload receipts with sensitive details removed.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $2,500
• Filing and biometrics fees: $500
• Certified translations and document copies: $125
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $75
Thank you so much.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Kathmandu.
