Julián is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In August I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My oncology team at Coatzacoalcos Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 44, I worked as a nurse until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Coatzacoalcos Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Transport to Coatzacoalcos Regional Medical Center: $340
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,050
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
