Josiane is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Toronto Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,650. The registrar has said Josiane can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Josiane has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Josiane would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Josiane isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $3,650 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,650 • Exam and lab fees: $320 • Final term tuition: $1,680 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Sébastien

Sending good thoughts, Sébastien. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best.

Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Cluj-Napoca this morning
