Jorge's final semester of a degree in social work in Alcalá de Henares
Jorge is two terms away from finishing a degree in social work but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $3,750.

Jorge is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Alcalá de Henares Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,750.
The registrar has said Jorge can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jorge has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jorge would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Jorge isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,550
• Final term tuition: $1,850
• Exam and lab fees: $185
• Textbooks and materials: $165
Thanks for being kind about this.
