She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,250. The registrar has said Jimena can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jimena has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jimena would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Jimena isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Cali Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
