Javier is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Tehuacán Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has said Javier can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Javier has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Javier would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Javier isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Tehuacán Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $750 goes: • Final term tuition: $610 • Textbooks and materials: $100 • Exam and lab fees: $40 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
