Jakarta Selatan volcanic eruption relief - the Marketplace neighborhood
Neighbors in the Marketplace neighborhood are rebuilding after the volcanic eruption; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The volcanic eruption hit the Marketplace neighborhood on 19 January. My home was one of 23 damaged, and 8 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $105
• Tools and labor for repairs: $195
• Roofing sheets and timber: $500
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $200
If you're reading this, thank you.

Sending good thoughts. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. It's not much but it's yours
Wishing you peace, Dwi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Jakarta Selatan
