Mar del Plata

Itzel is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Mar del Plata Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has said Itzel can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Itzel has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Itzel would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Itzel isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Mar del Plata Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Final term tuition: $680 • Textbooks and materials: $90 • Exam and lab fees: $30 Thanks for being kind about this.
