Imani's final semester of a nursing degree in Mukono
Imani has worked and saved for three years to study a nursing degree; a $900 gap now stands between her and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a nursing degree at the Mukono Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $900.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Mukono Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $350
• Final term tuition: $460
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $65
I hope life is good to you.
