Ife needs a commercial oven to reopen a neighborhood bakery
Ife has run a neighborhood bakery for six years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $700 will put it back on its feet.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Nigeria740 views
For six years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Badagry. In July, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $480
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $90
• Shop repairs and licensing: $45
• Working capital for the first month: $85
Thank you so much.

Hope the shop reopens soon. After 22 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Rooting for you, Ife. Hope this works out for you.
Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Heliopolis
