House fire that spread across the block in Łódź: help the families of Hillcrest Lane rebuild
Neighbors in the families of Hillcrest Lane are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the families of Hillcrest Lane on 5 August. My home was one of 27 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,800
• Clean water and purification supplies: $410
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $260
• Tools and labor for repairs: $430
Thanks for being kind about this.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Łódź
Thank you. If you're in Łódź I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Appreciate you taking the time.
Stay strong, Janina. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
best of luck. Hope this works out for you. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Stay strong, Janina. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
