Wolfgang was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Duisburg Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Wolfgang is 33, worked as a shop owner until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Duisburg Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $10,700 goes: • Scans and lab work: $940 • Transport to Duisburg Regional Medical Center: $1,050 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,950 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,760 I hope life is good to you. - Elisabeth
