Help Wendy through 6 rounds of treatment for stomach cancer
Wendy is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇬🇧 Leeds, England, United Kingdom924 views
Wendy was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April. The oncology team at Leeds University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Wendy is 25, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Leeds University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $9,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,250
• Scans and lab work: $770
• Transport to Leeds University Hospital: $330
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $310
• Household costs while unable to work: $740
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Hope the doctors have good news. I hope June is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
Good luck. Hope the doctors have good news. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hope the doctors have good news. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Leeds
Hang in there. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Thinking of Leeds!
