Wendy is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at the Bakersfield Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,600.
The registrar has said Wendy can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Wendy has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Wendy would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Wendy isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,450
• Final term tuition: $1,500
• Exam and lab fees: $220
• Textbooks and materials: $430
With deep gratitude,
Isabella

Praying for you, Isabella. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Isabella. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Tehuacán donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Bakersfield
