Help Viviane restart a laundry service in Salvador after a fire in the building
Viviane has run a laundry service for three years; a fire in the building destroyed the equipment, and $1,000 will put it back on its feet.

For three years I have run a laundry service in Salvador. In November, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $450
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $200
• Shop repairs and licensing: $210
• Working capital for the first month: $140
Thanks for reading all this.

So sorry you're going through this, Viviane. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings
Hope things get better soon. Small businesses are the heart of Salvador. Hope you're open again soon. Sent it to 36 people at work. Greetings from Toronto.
